Howard has been playing guitar since he was in school. His style of play allows for a lot of feel or soulful play and that is a direct reflection of his influence of the blues. His vocals are soft and soulful too, with a touch of anguish always lingering at the bottom of a powerful or mild note. He has over the years played and done harmony vocals with some of the best Bombay bands like Depth and Discordance.
