Sangitache Suvarnayug at Little Theatre, NCPA

This musical docudrama charts the developments in Indian music from 1850 - 1950, the last century of the colonial era, which has had definite influence in shaping the future of music in India. The film particularly sheds light on historically important developments: migration of various gharanas from their places of origin in north India to Maharashtra, contribution of stalwarts like V. D. Paluskar and others in revitalisation and propagation of music through establishment of music schools, influence of recording technology, contribution of female artistes, etc. Language: Marathi film on music with English subtitles Directed by: Anjali Kirtane

Aaghaat (Trauma) at Little Theatre, NCPA

Dr. Khurana is a highly accomplished stalwart in the world of medicine, whose distinguished reputation is at stake when a life-defining decision on a young patient called Sangeeta Pradhan turns horribly sour due to his egocentrism and arrogance. It doesn't help his case when Dr. Smita Deshmukh, a trainee, piles the pressure on Dr. Khurana by challenging him into openly accepting his blunder and taking responsibility for the resulting debacle. After repeated failed attempts to pressurise Dr. Deshmukh into softening her stance, the hospital management is forced to take drastic measures to thwart this feisty young lady-doctor.
